Hilliard Energy, Ltd was hired in November of 2007 by Exelon Corporation to identify ranches of sufficient size in the south Texas area that met certain criteria.

Hilliard Energy, Ltd was hired in November of 2007 by Exelon Corporation to identify ranches of sufficient size in the south Texas area that met the criteria of: A) 7,000-10,000 acres along an adequate and sustainable fresh water source, B) 1,000-1,200 acres along the gulf coast, or C) both, so that Exelon could fulfill the requirements for submitting both a fresh water and a salt water option when filing plans for a nuclear plant in the south Texas area.

Hilliard Energy was able to successfully to deliver an 11,500 acre ranch along the Guadalupe River for a fresh water option, and a 1,180 acre ranch on Matagorda Bay for a salt water option.

Hilliard Energy was enlisted to provide the following services for the project:

Site Selection, Ranch Size and Ownership Identification (based on criteria above), Run Record Title to Verify Ownership, Due Diligence, Fee Simple Purchase Negotiation, Negotiation of Leasehold Purchase, Negotiation of Mineral Estate Purchase, Negotiation of Pipeline Relocation, Mapping, Title Curative
